Norfolk Zoning Board grants a six-month variance extension for the Leland Wilde nature center, continues four other hearings. The board voted 5-0 to let the Leland Wilde Foundation extend its 2025 variance, with engineer Andrew Gorman of Beals and Thomas saying the group still needs conservation, site plan and scenic road permits before construction. A proposed gas station at 1 Pine Street was continued to May 20 after board members pressed attorney Christopher Alford and engineer Hal Chuba on whether Norfolk's watershed protection bylaw bars fuel sales anywhere on a lot that only partly overlaps the district; Chuba said the design "understand[s] the concern of the board" with a system holding roughly 8,000 gallons in a spill.

A Pond Street solar project was continued after a contractor failed to file a required stormwater permit. Chair David Axberg was absent; all votes carried 4-0 or 5-0.
