Norfolk Select Board Ratifies New Town Administrator, Sets May Town Meeting

NORFOLK — January 5, 2026 — Norfolk Select Board unanimously ratifies new town administrator and sets May town meeting date. The board voted 3-0 on January 5 to ratify an employment contract with Robert Garrity as the town's next town administrator, following an initial review of his candidacy at the December 4 board meeting. Chair Tyese Hickman, Member Kevin Roach, and Member Anita Mecklenburg — participating remotely — all voted in favor. The board also voted 3-0 to hold the 2026 annual town meeting at King Philip Middle School on May 13, with the warrant closing February 17 at 6 p.m. An unidentified staff member thanked Mike Gallagher for his role in the contract negotiations. Garrity told the board he was "honored by your support" and hoped to "do the best job for Norfolk I can."
